I can write content for you, but my next question will be “what are you doing with that content?”
I can coordinate a photo shoot for you, but my first question will be “what’s the story we’re trying to tell?”
Marketing doesn’t operate in silos, and neither do these services.
I work in contract form, on a monthly or yearly basis. Each contract is customized and pulls from each of these services below, and all of the services work together.
Creative Direction
Content is everywhere, and good content doesn’t “just happen.” It’s the product of collaborating around a story that makes people feel something. Content is the final product of a story that makes someone’s heart race, their face flush, or their hair stand on end. It’s the outcome of pinpointing a certain quality - “X Factor” if you will, that the people in your life (your audience) strive to emulate.
So how do you do all of these things? How is really good content made?
Tangibly - it’s in high-quality visuals, writing with personality, consistent branding, a saaaweet website, a highly tuned marketing funnel, a certain amount of taglines that are fearless and ruffle people’s feathers - to name a few attributes.
But intrinsically it’s creating “something” that people can connect to and therefore connect to one another through, (also known as building community). Creating that “something” takes organization, attention to detail, and the personality of someone who really cares about supporting that community. (Me, it’s me. I’m that person.)
I love detail; meeting new people keeps me engaged; I get a high from a well thought-out plan, and those chills I mentioned? I get them from creating one-of-a-kind content for a concept that brings people together. Because your people are the biggest asset in your marketing funnel.
Example Deliverables:
Content Strategy
There’s so much that goes into content - from writing to photography to videography and then emulsifying each of those components for each channel you’re showcasing them on. Content and the strategy that goes with it can be a little… mystifying. I can help you wrap your arms around what sometimes feels intangible.
Example Deliverables:
Writing
Writing is really hard - especially if you don’t like to do it. Thankfully I do - AND I believe it’s the cornerstone of any marketing plan.
Let’s say we just worked on your content strategy, and you have a lot of great ideas on what to do next. Do you have the time to make those changes happen? Is there a slot in your calendar where you can sit down and write out your business’ website copy; its tagline for your holiday print advertising; or your weekly social posts or monthly newsletter?
If not, I can help with that.
Community Engagement
This is the best part of my work. It’s great (and necessary) to have stunning visuals, engaging words, and consistent creation throughout all of your marketing channels, but your success as a business relies mostly on the relationships you’re creating with people.
People need to see you, and they need to trust you. So the more you’re out “there” in the real world; shaking people’s hands, answering their questions, attending local events, collaborating with local chambers, and non-profits, partnering with other local businesses, and hosting events - all in the name of simply building relationships and letting people know you care; the more your digital content can back that fact up when you’re not in front of them.
I love meeting new people, and have no problem walking into a room full of people. I can network for you, acting as your Community Engagement Manager to drum up opportunities for you to - ya know - engage your community.
